Schneider Wide Angle 28mm PC Super-Angulon Manual Focus SLR Lens for Canon EOS anyone have any reviews with this lens & or is anyone using it that will offer insights? thanks jeff

I have this lens in its Leica version which is exactly the same that the Schneider one. As you probably know, this lens has interchangeable mounts, with all mayor mounts avaiable including canon EOS EF one. I changed the original R bayonet for an Schneider Canon EF mount in order to avoid possible adapter issues.
In my 2 years pro experience with it on an 1DSII, I find this lens exceptionally well made. Colors are very nice and at default position is a very sharp lens in the center area of the image at 8-11, and very decent in the corners. when shifting, high quality remains in the center but the corners quality decreases in the shiftting direcction and the use of f11 (its best f stop) is a must. This lens has a major issue whe using filters. Only B+W 67EW size filters are usable. They are rare to find, expensive and only for this lens. The issue is easily solved with a contax ring 70/86. Anyway I am very happy wit this lens.

schneider said using the original-adapters are not an issue but using additional ones.
there are multiple forums where shiftlens/adapters are discussed. but i cannot find them right now.
